The Nanka Kumamoto Kenjinkai produced an interview film with Kumamoto Kenjinkai's Chairman Yoshikuni Okita, who served in the Vietnam War, as a project to pass on the experiences of the service as a soldier to the next generation. The interviewee is a member in her twenties. The younger generation, who are unaware of the war, will hear directly from the veteran, what will be left behind by the war, and how it will affect their lives afterwards, and how the veteran will accept the war. We hope that it will be an opportunity to understand the meaning of peace once again.
This video was shot in Gardena, California in September 2020. In the editing, valuable photographs of Mr.Okita and the war images are included so that viewers can visualize the contents of the conversation. English subtitle version is coming soon.

Donation used for sponsoring Hitoyoshi Fall Festival, Konose Festival and Sashiki Elementary school
Hitoyoshi and Kuma districts had experienced extreme heavy rain which occurred on July 3rd. It brought over 70 deaths and the victims have been forced to live with this hardship, along with slow recovery due to
COVID19 and the lack of volunteers. Kumamoto Kenjinkai started the heavy rain aide fundraiser from July 13 and we collected the donation of $13,000(as of 12/1). This donation was sent to the volunteers in Japan and we were able to host the Fall Festival in Hitoyoshi on September 19th and Konose Festival in Konose on October 24.
Aside from supporting two events, we offered to aid Sashiki Elementary, located in one of the heavily impacted areas. The school building had flooded and they lost all tents for their sports event. We gifted 7 large tents to the school. A thank you letter was sent to Kumamoto Kenjinkai to let us know they are very happy to receive
their new sports equipment for the future activities of school and it was deeply appreciated by teachers and students. We continue to accept donations. Thank you for your support and love!

Mikaela Kai Flamenco Academy,
founded by Vice president Michiyo Ando (also known as Mikaela Kai), has been
supporting Japan's disaster areas with FLAMENCO POR UN MUNDO MEJOR project
which has raised donations through their dance activities since 2016. So far,
the project including the proceeds from recitals and other dance activities
raised $9,000 to the disaster impacted areas.President Okita also gained interest in flamenco dancing and he started
taking lessons 4 years ago. In this movie, he passionately performed PASODOBLE
with the cape, which is renowned as the bullfighter's movements. This show features great flamenco masters PACO
ARROYO and YOLANDA ARROYO, a young talented guitarist Max Peng and five MKF
academy's dancers. All donations from this video on demand will be sent to Kumamoto's
disaster impacted areas. We need your support! Thank you.
